Hi, I'm Tomáš Elšík, a.k.a. PEPA MLATIČKA. I was born into an artistic family. I have always been interested in making videos, so I created one of my first videos in elementary school. Then it made sense for me to study film. At first, I finished film school in Písek as a director, and then I completed both bachelor's and master's programs in the editing department at FAMU. I love to edit feature films and documentaries. In addition, I'm creating my own documentaries. My debut film, Central Bus Station, premiered at the international film festival in Sheffield, England. Now I'm working on a new documentary. Besides movies, I work on projections for permanent exhibitions and television. I like to discover new approaches to audiovisual culture. I'm cooperating with the Institute of Documentary Film as a dramaturge. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I rediscovered my grandfather's carpentry workshop, and I started making handmade furniture.
